《变脸:中国新一代职业媒体人口述实录》中文版的书名为《变脸——中国新一代职业媒体人口述实录》。这不是什么惊天动地的书。我们只是希望从一个侧面给愿意了解中国的海外读者，展示一些真实的状况。平心而论，从些美国读者的反馈看，这《变脸:中国新一代职业媒体人口述实录》也确实做到了这一点。2008年5月，我和美国爱奥瓦大学新闻传播系教授朱迪·波罗鲍姆合著的一《变脸:中国新一代职业媒体人口述实录》，在美国出版了。这就是关于中国新闻界变化的口述实录——《中国墨水：中国新闻界变脸》（China Ink: The Changing Face of Chinese Journalism）。
